Being 5 years old and standing in our living room around Christmas, singing along to Reinhard Mey's "Musikanten sind in der Stadt". The song basically deals with prejudice towards travelling musicians and ends on the lines "Schützt uns vor Musikanten die auf Reisen sind oder laßt mich mit ihnen zieh'n" (Save me from traveling musicians or let me go with them). Little did I know I'd do just that one day.
2003 Milan, San Siro Stadium, downpour. Bruce Springsteen singing the first words of "Wainting on a sunny day" "It's raining", stopping, looking up at the sky and breaking into a huge grin. Me, standing at the back of the pit, forgetting all about the rain and just living (and loving) that moment.
2007 Odense, on a cool September night. A pair of rather beautiful blue eyes looking into mine, staring almost. Complete lyrics blackout and total awe.

Have love, will travel and have been known to follow "my" musicians all over the place. I get to see new cities and countries, meet wonderful people. Just one way of the occasional escape from real life. ;)
Reading, movies and some TV series are others.
A life without music I cannot imagine. I need it like the air I breathe, to make me laugh and cry, to make me think and most of all to speak to my heart and soul. My two great fan loves in this area are Bruce Springsteen and Poets of the Fall. I listen to a large variaty of other artists and bands though.
Movie theaters are my natural habitat and I enjoy film festivals. The list of my favorite movies is long and varied. Generally I like drama better than comedy, but once in a while I need some laughter too.
You won't find my at a bar very often and if you do, you can be sure my friends have dragged me there. I do enjoy to go out dancing once in a while but nowhere near as much as I used to. A quiet evening at home talking or sharing a good meal at a restaurant is more my style.
If I need to unwind and let off steam, the fitness club is the place to go, preferably for classes that make me sweat and allow me to either pound something or have me concentrate on a cool choreography so much that I don't even notice how time is passing. Sauna is a must afterwards. I love swimming too - it allows me to let my thoughts run free.
My newest love is Finland. The country as well as the language intrigue me.
